Following a months-long search for the missing actor, Julian Sands has been confirmed dead at the age of 65 following the identification of his remains in the Mount Baldy area.
Concerns of Julian Sands’ wellbeing first started back in January 2023 when he was reported missing after traveling to the Mount Baldy region of the San Gabriel Mountains in Southern California for a hike. For months, his whereabouts were unknown. Remains were discovered on the trail by hikers the morning of Saturday, June 24th, before being confirmed to belong to Sands on the morning of June 27, 2023.
Julian Sands was best known to superhero fans for his roles as Jor-El and his clone on the final seasons of Smallville. He was also known for his role as Gerald Crane on Gotham. The actor will have three posthumous roles in the projects Body Odyssey, The Last Breath, and Double Soul.
No cause of death has been confirmed due to a number of pending test results. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of Julian Sands. He will be deeply missed in life, though will survive in the hearts of millions of fans.
