Smallville alum Kristen Kreuk recently weighed in on the casting of Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang in the upcoming Superman & Lois series.
In the comics, Lana Lang was Clark Kent’s first love back in Smallville before he meets Lois Lane. Lana Lang has also appeared in several live-actions shows and movies over the years, but she played a major role in the Superman prequel series, Smallville, where she was portrayed by Kristin Kreuk.
Lana Lang is now set to appear in Superman & Lois and it was recently announced that Emmanuelle Chriqui will be the one to play her. In a recent interview with TV Line, Smallville alum Kristin Kreuk talks about Chriqui taking on the Lana Lang role in the upcoming Superman series:
“She’s wonderful, and very nice. I’m sure she’ll be fine. I don’t know a ton about the show, but it sounds like it’s going to be a lot of fun. She’s a great character, and with the freedom that’s afforded creators right now in regard to comic book characters, I think they can adjust and adapt her into a more modern position in the world.”
