Former The Walking Dead star Sonequa Martin-Green will join basketball superstar Lebron James for the upcoming Space Jam 2.

According to a report by Variety, Sonequa Martin-Green will be joining the cast of Space Jam 2 opposite Lebron James. Sonequa Martin-Green became a big star after starring in AMC’s The Walking Dead as Sasha Williams. The actress appeared in The Walking Dead for five seasons and made an appearance on The Walking Dead‘s ninth season for one episode. Sonequa Martin-Green has since moved on to Star Trek: Discovery after her departure from The Walking Dead.

According to the report, Sonequa Martin-Green will be appearing in Space Jam 2 as Lebron James’ wife. Space Jam 2 will be directed by Terence Nance who created the HBO show Random Acts of Flyness. Black Panther director Ryan Coogler is producing the sequel to Space Jam with Lebron James and his partner Maverick Carter.

There’s still no news yet on what the story of the highly-anticipated sequel will be but with a release date that’s only a couple of years away, hopefully, that means fans will be hearing more updates on the film sooner than later. It was recently revealed that another Warner Bros. sequel, Godzilla vs Kong, has shifted its previous release date to avoid competition with Fast & Furious 9.

Legendary's MonsterVerse continues with Godzilla: King of the Monsters and the highly-anticipated film will pit the titular kaiju against some of the most beloved Toho creatures, including the three-headed King Ghidorah. Now, Total Film has unveiled two magazine covers and four new photos that offer fans a glimpse at the monster mayhem that will be unleashed when Godzilla: King of the Monsters hits theaters.
