The cast of the upcoming Disney Plus series Ironheart continues to grow with the addition of Sonia Denis.
Variety reports that Sonia Denis (Brown Girls, High Maintenance) is joining the cast of Marvel’s Disney Plus series Ironheart, which is led by If Beale Street Could Talk and Judas and the Black Messiah star Dominique Thorne. Details regarding the character played by Denis are being kept under wraps.
Ironheart follows Riri Williams, a brilliant MIT student who creates the most advanced suit of armor since the one worn by Tony Stark, a.k.a. Iron Man. Dominique Thorne is set to make her debut as Riri in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which opens in theaters this November.
Who else is attached to the Ironheart series?
The cast of Ironheart also includes Anthony Ramos, Jim Rash, Lyric Ross, Harper Anthony, Manny Montana, Alden Ehrenreich, Shea Couleé, Zoe Terakes, Regan Aliyah, Shakira Barrera and Rashida “Sheedz” Olayiwola. Production on the six-episode series is currently underway.
Chinaka Hodge is the head writer of the Ironheart series while Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes serve as directors. Hodge is also executive producing the project alongside Ryan Coogler, Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Zoie Nagelhout and Kevin Feige.
