Our first look at Sonic the Hedgehog’s redesign for his upcoming live-action movie is here.
After the first trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog made its debut online, there was a lot of fan backlash regarding Sonic’s live-action look. The backlash was so loud that the Sonic the Hedgehog filmmakers decided to alter the titular character’s look for the film. The redesign forced Paramount Pictures to push Sonic the Hedgehog back to February 2020, but now that the release date is getting closer it seems we’ll soon be getting a new look at the film.
A new Sonic the Hedgehog trailer is bound to hit the internet soon, so fans can expect a proper first look at Sonic’s new design in action. However, it appears the Sonic the Hedgehog redesign can now be seen before any official promotional material hits the web. Two images from the movie have surfaced on Twitter, with one of them depicting Sonic the Hedgehog with his new look and Jim Carrey’s Dr. Ivo Robotnik in the background. The redesign looks incredibly accurate to Sonic’s traditional video game look and there’s sure to be little to no backlash now! You can check out the images below.
