Sony has revealed a new teaser trailer for its upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive, Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac Games.
Back in 2018, Insomniac Games blew away gaming fans and critics with its first superhero game, Marvel’s Spider-Man. The game currently holds an 87 Metacritic score and sold over 20 million copies worldwide. The company followed this up with Spider-Man: Miles Morales which, as of this writing has sold over 6.5 million copies worldwide with an 85 score on Metacritic. Earlier today, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was announced teasing Venom and Kraven the Hunter but it turns out that this isn’t the only Marvel project Insomniac Games is working on.
During the Playstation Showcase 2021, Sony announced a number of games with accompanying teaser trailers. In addition to Spider-Man 2, Sony also announced a new Wolverine game that will be exclusive for the PlayStation 5. The teaser sadly did not reveal much beyond the iconic member of the X-Men having just fought in a bar.

This is not the first time Wolverine has been featured in a solo video game. The last time the character appeared as the main character was in the video game adaptation of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. While not a masterpiece the game is fondly remembered by fans as a more faithful attempt to adapt the character with the M-Rated versions featuring blood and a number of gory hack and slasher moves that were satisfying to execute. The trailer for the upcoming Insomniac Games project does not make it clear if the PlayStation 5 adaptation will follow this route.
Here is the official description for Insomniac Games’ most recently released project, Spider-Man: Miles Morales:
The latest adventure in the Spider-Man universe will build on and expand Marvel’s Spider-Man through an all-new story. Players will experience the rise of Miles Morales as he masters new powers to become his own Spider-Man. With PS5’s ultra-fast SSD, players can near-instantaneously fast-travel across Marvel’s New York City, or feel the tension of each one of Miles’s web-swings, punches, web shots, and venom blasts with the DualSense wireless controller’s haptic feedback. Highly-detailed character models and enhanced visuals across the game intensify the story of Miles Morales as he faces great, new challenges while learning to be his own Spider-Man.
