Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse swings into theaters tomorrow, with Rotten Tomatoes scores from preview screenings painting a certified fresh flick.

When it first debuted in 2018, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse shocked fans and critics alike with its original story filled to the brim with heart, landing the film a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. With the sequel’s debut less than 24 hours away, Across the Spider-Verse just barely misses the bar set by its predecessor with an astonishing 94% on Rotten Tomatoes.

It wouldn’t be impossible for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse to dethrone the first film once it premieres tomorrow, as its 94% comes from only 54 reviews, meaning only around 3 critics didn’t enjoy the film. Early reactions online hype up the film as, not only being superior to Into the Spider-Verse, but perhaps being the best Spider-Man film of all time. Fans will be able to decide for themselves if the film is worth the wait once the film debuts exclusively in theaters on June 2nd, with preview screenings starting tomorrow.
