Is a trailer finally coming!? Director Destin Daniel Cretton speaks on the calls by fans to release footage of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
There is a ravenous hunger online, but not for the usual reason. It’s not a desire that can be cured by horrifying fast food creations. There’s only one thing that can satiate the masses: Spider-Man. Fans have been prepared for a Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer to drop “any day now” since December. And now with the Super Bowl behind them with no web-slinger insight, fans are getting a little antsy.
The anticipation for the trailer is so high that the film’s director, Destin Daniel Cretton, was actually asked about why the film skipped the Super Bowl in an interview with Big Gold Belt Media. Cretton admits that he understands the desire by fans to see the trailer, but simply stated that the first footage of Spider-Man: Brand New Day is on its way.
“I think it’s so funny how people really want a trailer. Of course it’s gonna come. It’s gonna be really good when it comes. It’s coming.”
When Will The Spider-Man: Brand New Day Trailer Release?
Given Spider-Man: Brand New Day skipped out on the Super Bowl, it’s likely that Disney is saving the trailer for one of their tentpole releases later this year. And given that The Mandalorian and Grogu releases near the end of May, about two months prior to the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it’s more likely than not that it will be the film that the trailer is attached to.
Of course, as with all modern films, there needs to be a teaser teasing the trailer before it actually comes out. And given National Superhero Day is April 28th, it’s likely that Marvel will release some sort of footage for Spider-Man: Brand New Day to hype fans up and tell them that the full trailer will be in front of The Mandalorian and Grogu.
