Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to bring the hero to the street level of the MCU. Not only is The Punisher going to play a role in the project, but the rumor mill suggests that the villain may finally be a lower-level baddie (even if no scooper can agree on which exact baddie it will be. Our bets are on Silver Sable). Yet if Spider-Man is truly taking things to the streets, there’s one question on everyone’s mind: where’s Daredevil.
Fans have long-awaited a crossover between Spider-Man and Daredevil on the silver screen. And with Peter Parker meeting Matt Murdock during the events of No Way Home, it almost seemed a shoe-in for the two to team up during the events of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. However, even despite how much the rumor mill loves reporting on which MCU characters may appear in the film, Daredevil has been all-but-absent from those discussions.

Though it seems the internet finally has their answer about what role Daredevil will play in the film. Following the announcement that Charlie Cox is headed to London to film a new Apple TV project, scooper MyTimeToShineHello revealed that this confirms Daredevil ISN’T going to be in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
While this rumor may be disappointing to some fans, there maybe a silver lining. It’s clear that Marvel sees the meeting of Spider-Man and Daredevil as a big moment for a future MCU project. And with Spider-Man: Brand New Day having to do so much to lay the groundwork of a new version of the hero, it may be best to hold off on their meeting until a later date.
