The cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day just can’t stop growing! The latest rumor suggests that a key member from the franchise’s first trilogy may be set to return.
There’s been a lot of questions when it comes to the cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. While the rumor mill has mostly been focused on trying to find the project’s main villain and identifying who Sadie Sink will be playing, another question sits on the minds of casual fans: what characters from the previous trilogy will return for this one?
There’s obviously going to be a marked shift between the cast of the Home trilogy and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but that doesn’t mean some key characters can’t return. Perhaps the most obvious example is Zendaya’s Michelle Jones, who is set to appear in the film despite forgetting who Peter Parker is at the end of the last film.
A Key Spider-Man Cast Member Makes Their Return
A rumor from DanielRPK suggests that she may not be alone in making a return. The scooper explains that Tony Revolori will reprise his role as Flash Thompson in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. While Revolori’s take on the iconic bully has been far from the most beloved character in the franchise, he has been a mainstay since the first film.
And given Spider-Man: Brand New Day is likely set to tackle how Spider-Man fits into a world without Peter Parker, it makes sense that Tony Revolori would make his return. Flash Thompson as a character is defined, not just by his love of Spider-Man, but his relationship to Peter. So it’ll be interesting to see how the character evolves in this new world.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters July 31st, 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Spider-Man’s Marvel Cinematic Universe future, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
