Some major changes are coming in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. A rumored description for the trailer has some fans worried, while others couldn’t be more hyped.
Marvel fans have been patiently waiting for the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Well, patient in the same way that piranhas are patient for food. It’s this desperate environment that the rumor mill thrives in. And while the trailer has reportedly “leaked” multiple times, a description of the upcoming footage has been revealed by Youtuber 3C Films.
The rumor gives fans basically everything they expect out of the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Interactions between Spider-Man and The Punisher, as well as interactions between Spider-Man and Bruce Banner. A first look at the Scorpion is also reportedly revealed. However, one of the most interesting aspects of the report is that it seems the film will give Spider-Man organic webs once more.
The Problems With Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Yet the rumor isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. The insider suggests that the humor in Spider-Man: Brand New Day didn’t particularly land for them. However, perhaps more worryingly, they say that the web-swinging portrayed in the trailer was “ugly.” Given that swinging is one of the most iconic aspects of Spider-Man, this description has left some Marvel fans worried.
Important context for this rumor is that Destin Daniel Cretton prioritized practical swinging while filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day, something former Spider-Man director Jon Watts avoided due to how it looked on camera. It’s possible that the trailer simply doesn’t do the stunts justice, and they’ll look better as part of a larger whole.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters July 31st, 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Spider-Man’s Marvel Cinematic Universe future!
