Spider-Man: Brand New Day is shaping up to be Tom Holland’s darkest outing in the MCU yet. Which, notably, includes the times he died and his aunt died! Yet even still, the rumor mill isn’t holding back its punches, with the hero reportedly set to face off against mobsters, cops, and even his fellow heroes in the upcoming film.
And all those opponents may be too much for the little guy to handle. A rumor from Hollywood insider MyTimeToShineHello suggests that Tom Holland’s hero may end up kicking the bucket during the events of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. While some may assume this may be the end of his time in the MCU, it seems a much more interesting series of events may occur.
The Rebirth Of Spider-Man In The MCU
Following this rumor, the scooper also posted the cover of Kraven’s Last Hunt, teasing that the iconic image of Spider-Man crawling out of the grave will be recreated in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. While it’s all but certain the film won’t directly adapt the comic, it’s certainly possible that Tom Holland’s hero manages to be reborn, perhaps with the help of the symbiote suit.

In fact, taking this rumor together with everything fans know about the film, and the fact that Tom Holland NEEDS the symbiote suit leading into Secret Wars, it seems very likely that Scorpion is the one to kill the hero in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. However, the death infects the hero with the symbiote, leading to him being reborn as a new, much darker version.
