‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Concept Art Shows Green Goblin In Battle

Plus a new concept art that show Peter holding a mysterious book.

Willem Dafoe Green Goblin Spider-Man No Way Home

Brand new concept art from Spider-Man: No Way Home shows Spidey battling Green Goblin.

Spider-Man: No Way Home practically reinvented the Marvel Cinematic Universe by ushering in the multiverse. In the film, a variety of Spider-Man villains seen in previous iterations of the character popped up, resulting in a medley of supervillains who were stuck in a new universe. While the crux of the film saw Tom Holland’s Peter Parker trying to cure the villains, he didn’t save them without getting his hands dirty.

New concept art from artist Marek Oren for Spider-Man: No Way Home shows Tom Holland’s Spider-Man swinging into battle to defeat Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin. The concept art shows the duo about to duke it out at the “new and improved’ Statue of Liberty.

It’s clear from the concept art that the plan was to always have Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin as the film’s lead villain. However, some changes had to be made to the film after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was pushed back. Recently surfaced concept art has shown that America Chavez, who will debut in the Doctor Strange sequel, was once set to be a key part of the Spider-Man threequel.

America Chavez’s appearance in the film obviously didn’t manifest but concept art has shown her and her accouterments. Another concept art from Maciej Kuciara shows Spider-Man evading Doctor Strange except the webhead is seen holding onto a book that Chavez previously held in other pieces of concept art.

Here is the synopsis for Spider-Man No Way Home:

“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”
