In a recent interview, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse producers  Chris Miller and Phil Lord talked about the potential of a Spider-Ham spinoff.

During the interview the two were asked if they might try to bring the characters to television and what characters they would bring. Both of them seemed to agree that the Sus scrofa domesticus arachnid would be the best pick. Miller first stated that he would like to see a string of shorts starring the character:

I’d love to see a string of Spider-Ham shorts.

Lord agreed but was a bit more ambitious with his response:

I just want to Spider-Ham’s shorts. I want to spin off the Spider-Ham cinematic television universe.

Lord, however, seemed unsure if any series about the Spider-Man character would ever take off:

No, who knows. One thing at a time.

From the sound of things, though, the two have their pick for the next big Spider-Man series.

What do you all make of the producer’s pick for a Spider-Man series? Would you like to see Spider-Ham get his own television universe or is he better as a supporting character? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, & Rodney Rothman from a script written by Phil Lord, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse features the voice talents of Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Mahershala Ali, Jake Johnson, Liev Schreiber, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, and Lily Tomlin.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the creative minds behind “The Lego Movie” and “21 Jump Street,” bring their unique talents to a fresh vision of a different Spider-Man Universe, with a groundbreaking visual style that’s the first of its kind. “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will be released in theaters on December 14, 2018.
