‘Iron Fist’ Star Finn Jones Caps Off NYCC By Meeting Stan Lee

You may have seen from the array of announcements over the past 24 hours that Marvel and Netflix’s Iron Fist, which is set to hit Netflix in March 2017, has made quite a splash at this year’s New York Comic-Con.

There has been an abundance of announcements and official poster reveals over the weekend, along with the coveted trailer that fans have been eagerly awaiting since the casting of Jones as the lead in the show back in February of this year.

It’s safe to say, though, that this post from Finn Jones’ Instagram account caps the weekend off perfectly for the Iron Fist star. Just as he was leaving the convention he bumped into Stan Lee, or as Jones aptly refers to him:

… the man himself
As you might expect, Jones took the opportunity to throw up an Iron Fist stance and get a picture with Lee before heading off. You can view the image below:

Stan Lee is, of course, renowned for his cameos in Marvel on-screen projects, though, his cameos have been even more subtle than usual when it comes to the Netflix shows, with Lee tending to show up on PSA posters in the background rather than showing up in person as we’d come to expect from his brief appearances in Marvel movies.

Still, though, I know we’re all very hopeful this Instagram post won’t be last we see of Finn Jones and Stan Lee in front of the camera together, even if Lee’s appearance comes in the form of a headshot on a tactically placed PSA poster pinned to a notice board in the distance.

All episodes of Iron Fist Season 1 hit Netflix in March 2017.
