EA Exec Says ‘Star Wars: Battlefront 2’ Is ‘Dramatically Larger’

Star Wars
EA CFO Blake Jorgensen teased that the next Star Wars: Battlefront is “dramatically larger” than the first game while speaking at Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom Conference today.

Jorgensen also announced the game will feature “a lot of new characters” from newer films in the Star Wars franchise. Perhaps we will get to slaughter Rebel scum as Kylo Ren or even take Rey back to Jakku in the Battlefront sequel.

It was previously revealed that Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will include a story mode which is being developed by Motive Studios. The game will also include more locations than the first as well as multiple eras from the franchise.

EA was confirmed to be in attendance at this year’s Star Wars Celebration in Orlando this April just yesterday. It’s possible we could get a sneak peek or even a trailer for the game at Celebration as EA has once again chosen to sit out of this year’s E3. Instead, EA will host its own dedicated event, EA Play 2017 June 10-12 at the Palladium in Hollywood, California which could give us the chance at another glimpse of the game come June.

While no official release date has been announced, Star Wars: Battlefront 2 has been confirmed to arrive this holiday season.
