The first trailer for the Star Wars series The Book of Boba Fett has been released.

The second season of The Mandalorian saw the return of Boba Fett, who had last been seen being devoured by the Sarlacc in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Fett’s return in the Disney Plus series was met with acclaim from both fans and critics, and it was announced after the season wrapped that the character would be getting his own series. Titled The Book of Boba Fett, the series will focus on the bounty hunter returning to Tatooine to absorb Jabba The Hutt’s throne.

After months of anticipation, Disney Plus has finally dropped the first trailer for the series, which seems to be taking clear influence from political dramas.

Though the trailer is filled to the brim with beautiful action sequences, it’s the political intrigue of Boba Fett taking over Jabba’s criminal enterprise that has us excited. The underworld has only been briefly explored in the Star Wars canon, so this is certainly a departure from the typical hero’s journey the franchise has previously employed.

Disney Plus has also released a beautiful new poster for the Star Wars series, which sees Boba Fett standing alongside Fennec Shand, his partner in crime.

The series is set to debut on December 29, making it the perfect show to start during the Holidays. The Mandalorian season three is currently filming, which means the series won’t Disney Plus until later next year, giving us plenty of time to absorb and enjoy Boba Fett’s long-awaited live-action solo adventure.

The Book of Boba Fett will arrive on December 29 on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the future of the Star Wars franchise, Disney Plus, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
