RUMOR: Kylo Ren To Have New Helmet In ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’

Star Wars Kylo RenIn a recent report, a new rumor was posted regarding Star Wars: Episode IX. In it, sequel trilogy antagonist Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) will reportedly don a new helmet and droid BB-8 will have a new sidekick.

The report in question came from MakingStarWars.net where the writer confirmed a story that had been posted on the Reddit forum StarWarsLeaks. Both discussed the possibility of Kylo Ren having a new helmet. In Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Kylo Ren destroyed his older helmet after being provoked by Supreme Leader Snoke, (Andy Serkis). But if this Reddit forum and MSW are to be believed, he will have a new one in the Episode IX.

The new helmet will reportedly be a reforged mask. It will feature a red, crystalline bonding materiel, which is designed to give the the helmet a more corrupt look to it. It is unknown how often he will wear the new helmet in the film if he, in fact, wears one at all.

In addition, the film may feature a new droid and will be BB-8’s new sidekick. The droid in question reportedly has a megaphone look to him and will treat BB-8 as some kind of parental figure and will grow very attached to him. If true, it seems that we will be getting an unusual subplot for droids in this latest Star Wars film.

What do you all make of these rumors? Would you like to see Kylo Ren don a new mask in this latest film? Would it be going back on his development in The Last Jedi? Would you like to see BB-8 get a sidekick? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Bad episode. Basically it was just dumb filler nostalgia with a little bit of crossover plot.

Bamford delivers again. The idea of Thea shooting the arrow to Sara was amazing. Beautifully done. Invasion or not, this was a great episode. And letting Oliver say goodbye not only to his parents but saying goodbye to Thea (if it came to that) was some great writing. I like that they didn’t just let Ray off with shooting someone, even though it wasn’t real and he knew it at the time. You can still see his disgust. Smartly done.

Such a boring episode. Just a great reminder of both how good this show USED to be and how terrible it has become.

Some of the fighting was cool, but overall this episode just served as a reminder of how much weaker Arrow is than the rest of the DC lineup.

No. They wouldn’t cover up his face again. That sounds so dumb. Driver’s too good of an actor to waste. And that character has gone through so many transformations that it would be cheap to throw another persona onto him. Two personalities is enough. Destroying his mask showed that he was finally ready to stop emulating Vader. His arc is probably going to continue in that direction.
