Lucasfilm has released the official trailer for the second season of the animated children’s series LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures.
The trailer teases the continuing goofy antics of the Freemaker’s and the appearance of Star Wars Rebels‘ Hera Syndulla (Vanessa Marshall) — referring to her as General Syndulla which was first teased in the recent Star Wars spin-off film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story — as the Freemaker’s join the Rebel Alliance.
You can watch the trailer below.
The series features the voice cast of Vanessa Lengies, Grey DeLisle, Nicolas Cantu, Matthew Wood, Eugene Byrd, Trevor Devall and Matt Sloan. Here’s the official synopsis:
At the end of the first season, the Freemaker family found a new home with the rebel fleet. Their new circumstances bring them face to face with brutal Imperial forces, desperate Hutts, conniving Sith Lords, and the Emperor’s latest plaything, M-OC, a terrifying hunter droid who continually modifies himself to fit any occasion. In response to these threats, Rowan’s powers grow and strengthen until he has a vision of a sleek, invulnerable ship that can save the Rebellion and stop the Empire in its tracks – the Arrowhead. The catch is, the Arrowhead is a ship only Rowan can build. Once again, it’s up to the youngest Freemaker to save the galaxy.
LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures is a Wil Film, the LEGO Group, and Lucasfilm production.
The series was created by Bill Motz and Bob Roth (Penguins of Madagascar) who team with Torsten Jacobson (LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales) and Jill Wilfert (The LEGO Movie) as executive producers. Carrie Beck (Star Wars Rebels), Jason Cosler (LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Avengers Reassembled!), Jake Blais, and John McCormack also produce.
LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures premieres on Disney XD this summer. Ahead of the premiere, Lucasfilm will debut five new shorts filling in the gap between seasons on Star Wars Day— Wednesday, May 4, on Disney XD. A special sneak peek at season two is also set to be revealed at Star Wars Celebration later this month in Orlando.

8 Ways In Which ‘Star Wars’ Can Reach Its Full Potential
The Star Wars Universe is one of the greatest cinematic achievements of all time and the high quality of the recent films are not only proving how strong a franchise it is, but also continuing to gain legions of new fans every year. The series is fantastic and Disney’s films have brought it back in favor with both audiences and fans, but like any good franchise there are always ways in which a series can improve and as a huge fan I don’t think the series is at its full potential yet. There have been some minor issues and things that could be done differently that could make the series even greater than it already is and these can be addressed in future Star Wars films and in other mediums as well. With all of this being said it is appropriate to look at some of these issues and see how they can be addressed in a manner that could give everyone what they will want.
