Star Wars actor John Boyega recently apologized for comments he made that seemingly called his co-star Kelly Marie Tran weak.

Star Wars actor John Boyega was recently criticized after an interview with Variety in which he appeared to call Kelly Marie Tran weak for quitting social media after the toxic backlash she received from her appearance in The Last Jedi. During the interview, John Boyega said that it would be weak to believe every negative comment that comes through social media after being asked about Kelly Marie Tran’s experience with a troubling minority in the Star Wars fandom.

John Boyega took to Twitter to apologize for the misunderstanding about his comments, explaining that his answer was badly worded and he was only speaking from his own perspective throughout his time playing Finn in Star Wars and not about Kelly Marie Tran.
