Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson has given Taika Waititi’s Jojo Rabbit his endorsement and calls the film “A Joy”.
The endorsement came from Rian Johnson’s official Twitter account. In his post, he retweeted Taikia Waititi’s post that contained the trailer for his upcoming film Jojo Rabbit. In keeping with his quirky humor, Taikia Waititi told the readers of the post not to watch “that” and instead watch “THIS” while giving no context to what “that” might be. The rest of the Tweet goes on to tell us about the film which apparently Star Wars director Rian Johnson enjoyed.
Both Rian Johnson’s Knives Out and Taika Waititi’s Jojo Rabbit debuted at the Toronto Film Festival this week. At the festival, Rian Johnson was able to see the film and apparently like what he saw. In his Tweet, Rian Johnson simply called the film “A Joy”. You can see the full post below:

Taika Waititi is, of course, no stranger to Star Wars himself. After seeing his previous film, Thor: Ragnarok, Lucasfilm president Kathline Kennady told the Jojo Rabbit director that he was more than welcome to direct a Star Wars film. This eventually resulted in Taika Waititi directing one of the episodes of the upcoming Star Wars show, The Mandalorian. But now, Taika Waititi has received an endorsement for his latest film, Jojo Rabbit, from his fellow Star Wars director.
What do you all think of Taika Waititi’s Jojo Rabbit? Will you be seeing the film once it comes out? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
Taika Waititi’s Jojo Rabbit will be released on October 18th, 2019.
