International ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’’ Title May Contain New Clues

Star Wars Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker Naomi Ackie

This year’s Star Wars Celebration had many surprises for fans including a trailer and title reveal for the upcoming, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker which could contain a secret meaning.

Star Wars has amassed a huge fan base since the introduction of the adventures in a galaxy far far away with Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. After 8 films we have now reached the ninth and final film within the Skywalker saga. The last Star Wars trailer contained an interesting voice over and a callback to one of the franchise’s biggest villains. It was then revealed that The Rise of Skywalker is the next film’s title and fans have been wondering what it means, but now we may have an idea. According to an international Polish poster of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is interestingly translated differently.

You can view the Polish poster and its translation below:

According to Twitter user @ecco5000, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker translates to “The Resurrection of Skywalker”. If true, this could mean that an old Skywalker could be returning for the ninth film. This could either be Luke or Anakin (Darth Vader) either fully or as a force ghost. This, of course, is all speculation and should be taken with a grain of salt. At the moment there are no official details as to what Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is about, but you can expect to see old heroes return and new ones join in the fight.
