A new preview for the upcoming video game, Star Wars: Squadrons has been released and reveals an early mission for the Empire.

Earlier this year, EA officially announced its new Star Wars game, Star Wars: Squadrons. EA had not had the best track with the Star Wars video games and while some faith in the company may have been revived thanks to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the taint of games like Star Wars: Battlefront and Battlefront 2 still lingers in the senses of many fans. This is what partially made the announcement of Star Wars: Squadrons such a shock.

In the game, you play as both members of the Empire and the Rebellion as they battle one another during the early days of the New Republic. The game itself will only be $40 at launch and will reportedly have no paid DLC or microtransactions in it. With the game’s upcoming release date rapidly approaching, EA is turning its advertising machine on full blast with new trailers and features for the upcoming game.

The most recent preview shows off an early mission where you play as the Empire and gives you a better idea as to what to expect from the upcoming game:

The most recent game in the universe from EA was Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, here’s the synopsis:

From Respawn Entertainment comes a brand-new action adventure game which tells an original Star Wars™ story around a surviving Padawan set shortly after the events of Star Wars™: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith™.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox, and PC. Squadrons will be available on October 2nd, 2020. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming game and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
