‘Star Wars’: ‘The Book Of Boba Fett’ Release Date Revealed

Boba Fett returns this holiday season!

The Book of Boba Fett Slave 1 Star Wars The Mandalorian Robert Rodriguez

The official release date for the upcoming Star Wars series The Book of Boba Fett has been revealed.

Boba Fett last appeared in The Mandalorian in a pivotal side role which brought the iconic character back into the limelight. During the second season’s finale, a spin-off series titled The Book of Boba Fett was teased, with Robert Rodriguez serving as the director for multiple episodes. Details on the Disney Plus series have been slim, though we do know that it takes place directly after the events of The Mandalorian’s second season.

With speculation about its release date rampant, the official Star Wars Twitter account revealed that the series will start streaming on December 29th, during the tail-end of the Holiday season. In addition to a release date, a brand new one-sheet was also unveiled that shows the bounty hunter confidently assuming the throne in Jabba’s palace.

The Book of Boba Fett‘s release date is interesting as it’s the same day the Hawkeye series is set to wrap up. It was revealed earlier this month that The Mandalorian composer Ludwig Göransson would be returning to score the Star Wars series. While we don’t know much about the series, director Robert Rodriguez is confident that the series will over-deliver and that it’s “mind-blowing”.

Here is the synopsis for The Mandalorian:

“After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travels of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic….”

The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Giancarlo Esposito, Temuera Morrison, Katee Sackhoff, Ming-Na Wen, Bill Burr, Timothy Olyphant, and Carl Weathers, with Rosario Dawson joining the series as Ahsoka Tano ahead of her spin-off series. The series was created by Jon Favreau and executive produced by Dave Filoni, with season two episodes also directed by Rick Famuyiwa, Bryce Dallas Howard, Peyton Reed, Carl Weathers, and Robert Rodriguez.

The Book of Boba Fett will arrive on December 29 on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the future of the Star Wars franchise, Ludwig Goransson, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
