Twitter’s new emojis for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker includes a character for Greedo’s infamous “Maclunkey” line.
When Disney Plus debuted last week with most of the Star Wars films available on day one, fans who revisited A New Hope were surprised to see yet another change to the famous Cantina confrontation scene between Han Solo and Greedo. As fans may recall, George Lucas changed the famous scene in which Han Solo shoots Greedo first several times and the sequence was once again altered for its release on Disney Plus.
This time, instead of giving Han Solo the final world before Greedo’s demise, the Rodian bounty hunter is able to deliver the controversial “Maclunkey” line before being shot by the smuggler. While Greedo’s new last words were not well-received and even ridiculed Star Wars fans, the line-up Twitter emojis for the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker includes a character when the hashtag “Maclunkey.”
