The CW has released the official synopsis for the upcoming series finale of Stephen Amell’s Arrow.

After almost a decade of dominating television, Stephen Amell’s Arrow is set to wrap its run later this month. Responsible for launching the Arrowverse and the modern television superhero landscape, the finale of Arrow is poised to be a bittersweet one for fans who have been there since day one.

The road to the Arrow finale is a bit complicated, however. For one, Stephen Amell’s character is expected to pass away in this week’s Crisis On Infinite Earths double finale and become something more… spiritually ethereal? Next week’s episode will then focus on Green Arrow and the Canaries, a backdoor pilot for a proposed spin-off. And after that, we’ll finally see the long-awaited finale of Stephen Amell’s Arrow with Fadeout. You can check out the synopsis for Stephen Amell’s Arrow series finale below.

Following the finale, fans can look forward to seeing a retrospective that bids farewell to Stephen Amell’s tenure as the Green Arrow and the legacy Arrow leaves behind. The retrospective is titled Arrow: Hitting The Bullseye.

A CELEBRATORY EPISODE – Get ready for the finale with cast interviews from Stephen Amell and the cast of “Arrow,” and executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Beth Schwartz. Original airdate 1/28/2020.

The Arrow finale will certainly be a special night for fans who have witnessed Stephen Amell in the role since day one or for those fans who enjoy the other Arroweverse shows. In many ways, this is the end of the original link to the Arrowverse, but hopefully Stephen Amell isn’t done working with the television universe that made him a household name.
