Magic is back on the menu in the MCU! A rumor suggests that the previously cancelled Strange Academy series is officially back in development.
For how much people clown on the MCU for leaks, Marvel Studios actually runs a pretty tight ship. Rarely does information come out on projects that fail to come to light. However, that changed earlier this year when it came out that a number of projects for Disney Plus has been “paused”. Among these were Nova, Terror, Inc., and Strange Academy.
Out of all these, Strange Academy quickly became the most popular. This is because the MCU still seemed to be setting the series up to eventually happen, with Ironheart featuring a key character that would likely return if the project came to pass. Though, with development paused, many didn’t have faith that those story threads would ever be pulled on.
Strange Academy Gets Un-Cancelled
However, one must never count out the most powerful magic of all. Chronomancy: the magic of time. As after all this time, Marvel Studios is reportedly looking to restart development on Strange Academy. A rumor from insider DanielRPK reveals that the studio is currently looking for a new writer to develop the IP for the MCU.
Of course, if this rumor is true and Strange Academy is back in development, this raises the question as to if Nova and Terror, Inc. could be revived. While Terror, Inc. is likely to stay cancelled, it’s almost inevitable that Nova will come to the MCU at some point. Though, given Marvel’s need for heavy hitters, it’s more likely than not his project will be reworked into a movie.
