Johnny Depp has revealed that Stranger Things star Winona Ryder will no longer testify at the Fantastic Beasts‘ actor’s ongoing liable case.

Johnny Depp’s ongoing legal battles against former wife Amber Heard have continued throughout the past two weeks, revealing a marriage that could best be described as toxic. Recently Johnny Deep’s lawsuit against Rupert Murdoch’s News Group Newspapers and journalist Dan Wootton went to trial with Depp and several witnesses testifying in his favor. Stranger Things star Winona Ryder was originally set to testify in the lawsuit but will no longer be participating.

Winona Ryder was once a romantic partner of Johnny Depp. The two were together from 1989-1993 and the Stranger Things actress has gone on record, stating that the person Amber Heard was portraying him as did not seem right. Likewise, Vanessa Paradis, another former romantic partner of Johnny Depp couldn’t reconcile the accusations with the man she knew either and were both scheduled to testify at the trial. Now, however, the two will no longer be appearing, with Depp stating that they were not needed, as The Sun was not contesting that Depp had never hit them.
