Suicide Squad director David Ayer posted a new angry shot of Jared Leto’s Joker from the supervillain team-up movie.
Following David Ayer recently showing off a bunch of new images and concept art from Suicide Squad, the director shared a surprising new shot of Jared Leto’s Joker. Leto’s performance was divisive among fans when the theatrical version of the film debuted, but the director defended his take on the villain, saying that it worked better when he was being intimidating. He also pointed out that the theatrical version softened the Clown Prince of Crime which meant Leto’s work in the role wasn’t as impactful.
After sharing a new look at Joker’s goons, the Suicide Squad director David Ayer also posted a look at Jared Leto presumably being driven somewhere while he angrily delivers a line. It’s an angry look for the villain which further backs up Ayer’s comments about the actor’s performance. Following the success of the Snyder Cut campaign, fans have been asking Warner Media to release Ayer’s original cut of his film, so whether we’ll have to wait to see if we get more from Jared Leto’s Joker. Take a look at the new shot below.
