In a new interview ahead of Bad Boys For Life, Suicide Squad star Will Smith revealed that he occasionally pretends to like his movies during press tours because they’re expensive to make. Suicide Squad star Will Smith has appeared in several huge franchises across his prolific career, but some of the sequels or roles he’s taken on haven’t been critically well received. But the Will Smith can’t wait for audiences to watch his latest sequel.
Suicide Squad star Will Smith made the surprising statement during an appearance on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, explaining that he’s aware some of his roles aren’t alway going to be loved by fans. Will Smith went on to say that although he sometimes has to lie about his thoughts on his movies, he’s genuinely excited for audiences to see Bad Boys For Life. “I had fumbled a couple of my last sequels. You know, I wasn’t happy with the Men in Black sequel. It’s fantastic. Y’all gonna love it. Because I say that a lot. I’m going to keep it real: sometimes I say ‘y’all are gonna love it,’ and y’all not gonna love it. You know, ’cause sometimes I’ve seen it, and I know y’all not gonna love it, but it’s an expensive movie. But this time…it is so good.”
