‘Supergirl’: David Harewood Has An Intriguing Crossover Idea

Supergirl as part of the DC Universe on The CW is subject to taking part in the epic crossover events that happen each season. Actors are always encouraged to generate ideas for these special shows.

David Harewood was eager to participate. While he was at San Diego Comic-Con, he and Jesse L. Martin from The Flash were brainstorming potential ideas for the upcoming season.

According to Harewood:

“Super Dads or a Black Lightning crossover where all the black characters come for Christmas dinner. I think that would be quite something.”

That just might be a brilliant idea! However, unfortunately for fans of both Supergirl and Black Lightning, this might not ever come to fruition due to logistics. Black Lightning is filmed in the new hotbed for television production Atlanta while the Arrowverse is in Vancouver.

The actor has even taken to social media to express his enthusiasm for that potential union.

If this idea doesn’t see the light of day, there is plenty of things happening in Harewood’s character of J’onn J’onzz’s world. Harewood talks a little bit about the conflict he will be experiencing this year on Supergirl:

“He’s really kind of struggling to live a life of total peace. When you’re as badass as J’onn, at some point you might have to step in and kick some butt. And I think that’s going to be his conflict going forward is how far he can take the idea of the pacifist ideals of his father and how he can really implement them in a world which is violent, and that needs to meet needs sorting out. So that’s something that’s going to be his conflict this year.”
