New ‘Supergirl’/’Flash’ Musical Crossover Poster Promises “Dynamic Duet”

The Flash Supergirl Musical
After a string of episodes featuring heartbreaking betrayals and life changing revelations, Supergirl and The Flash will take a different tone when both titular heroes unite for a musical crossover. Now, The CW has released a brand new poster for the upcoming event that promises a “dynamic duet” between both Barry Allen and Kara Danvers.

The poster features respective series leads Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist with The Flash logo placed on a Broadway-style marquee in the background.

What do you think of the poster? Are you excited for the musical crossover? Personally, the episode should provide some much needed relief from the relatively serious tone of recent episodes for both shows. Share your thoughts below!

“Duet” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

DARREN CRISS (“GLEE”) GUEST STARS AS THE MUSIC MEISTER IN THE FLASH AND SUPERGIRL MUSICAL CROSSOVER – Barry (Grant Gustin) and team are surprised when Mon-El (guest star Chris Wood) and Hank Henshaw (guest star David Harewood) arrive on their Earth carrying a comatose Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist) who was whammied by the Music Meister (guest star Darren Criss). Unable to wake her up, they turn to Team Flash to save her. However, the Music Meister surprises The Flash and puts him in a similar coma, one that Team Flash can’t cure. Kara and Barry wake up without their powers in an alternate reality where life is like a musical and the only way to escape is by following the script, complete with singing and dancing, to the end. Dermott Downs directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing (#317). Original airdate 3/21/2017.

The Flash airs on Monday at 8:00 pm ET on The CW. Be sure to check back with Heroic Hollywood after each episode for weekly reviews!

DCTV’s Arrowverse Episode Roundup: Coming Back From Hurt

CW, Arrowverse, DCTV, Episode Roundup

Welcome back to the DCTV Arrowverse episode roundup! There were a lot of fantastic character moments and plot developments on this week’s CW shows.

You can check out all of my previous DCTV Arrowverse episode roundups here!

Supergirl dealt with the aftermath of Jeremiah’s betrayal while trying to prevent Cadmus from kidnapping aliens; The Flash had to deal with the wrath of Savitar and one of the characters betrayed the team by holding onto a Savitar keepsake; DC’s Legends of Tomorrow went back to the Cretaceous period and also battled inside Rip Hunter’s mind.

The interweaving theme this week is that of trying to come back from actions taken against loved ones and friends.

Each episode roundup recaps the show’s main plot points, with a section for commentary.

Let’s get started! Click through the gallery to read through each episode!
