Superman actor Henry Cavill is featured on the latest cover of GQ Germany.
The actor is currently featured in the latest issue of GQ Germany. The actor received the Movie International award at the GQ Men of the Year ceremony in Berlin last fall. He is currently residing in Hungary as he is starring in Netflix’s video game adaptation of The Witcher.
In the latest GQ, Cavill dishes on his connection to his dog Kal and why he’s made Florida his home in the United States. The actor took to Instagram to share himself on the cover. In his post, Cavill said, “Guten Tag meine Freunde! Here be my latest cover. This one is for GQ Germany. It’s always interesting looking back over the years and thinking on decisions I’ve made or places I’ve been. If you fancy giving it a read, just go to the link in my bio. Fair warning though, it IS in German. Now don’t get me wrong, I didn’t conduct the interview in German, my German these days extends to saying “go straight and then, right around the corner” and “where is the cinema?”. It does make for an interesting read when it’s been translated back to English though! But worry not, I haven’t bumped my head, it just sounds a little literal once it’s been translated twice! I hope you enjoy the read.”

Cavill is currently committed to The Witcher series at Netflix but fans still hope for his return as Superman in the current DC cinematic universe. Cavill exited negotiations to reprise his role as Superman last year after the studio failed to reach an agreement that would have seen the actor return for a cameo in Shazam!. His future as Superman remains uncertain.
The DCEU is continuing with Aquaman, which is in theaters now, and will be followed by Shazam! on April 5, 2019, Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) on February 7, 2020, and Wonder Woman 1984 on June 5, 2020. A standalone Joker film set outside of the DC Films universe starring Joaquin Phoenix as the Clown Prince of Crime is also set to hit theaters October 4, 2019.
Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm / Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Ludi Lin as Captain Murk, and Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry.
From Warner Bros. Pictures and director, James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be… a king.
Aquaman is now playing. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the future of the current DC cinematic universe as we learn it.
The Witcher is currently in development and stars Henry Cavill, Freya Allan, Anya Chalotra, Johdi May, Adam Levy, MyAnna Buring, Mimi Ndiweni, Therica Wilson-Read, and Millie Brady. Stay tuned for more details on a release date for the upcoming Netflix series.
