Is Krypto going to be the best boy? A new Superman promo for dog treats gives fans a much broader look at the world of the DC Universe.

Superman is set to introduce audiences around the globe to the wide world that is the DC Universe. It’s an expectation dating back to the second teaser image ever released for the film, showing the Man of Steel and his dog Krypto looking out over Earth from the moon. It was a promise that fans were staring down the barrel of a franchise that truly felt alive, down to its very bones.

However, for as much as Superman has been meeting and passing fans’ expectations, this was the one promise that has been mostly unkept. What little footage has been released from the film mainly focuses on the DC Universe’s take on Metropolis, with only a handful of shots set outside of the titular city. This left some fans worried that Krypto’s iconic scene at the Fortress of Solitude may be the only vista thoroughly explored in the project.

Krypto Tours The DC Universe!

This concern was partially remedied in the latest tie-in for Superman with the dog treat brand Milk-Bone. The teaser released for the brand shows much of the same footage fans have come accustomed to: Krypto making his way to the Fortress of Solitude and charging through the snow. However, it also expanded fans’ view of the DC Universe by bringing the dog to Kent Farms and showing him interacting with Mister Terrific.

The Mister Terrific scene in particular should look familiar to fans, as set photos of the scene were the first real indication that Krypto the Superdog was going to appear in Superman. And while this only gives fans the smallest of teasers for the broader world of the DC Universe, the new trailer due out for the project Wednesday all but guarantees a much more thorough exploration.

Superman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
