Could another Green Lantern appear in Superman? Set photos suggest a cameo from the Corps’ cutest member!
Fans were ecstatic when it was announced that Guy Gardner would appear in Superman, given the Green Lantern franchise has been repeatedly shafted by DC when it comes to live-action adaptations. However, it seems he may not be the only corpsmen appearing in the project, with set photos revealing the titular hero talking to a squirrel.
These set photos may not seem like anything to the average fan. However, one of the most iconic Green Lantern Corps members from the comics is Ch’p. Ch’p comes from a species that looks similar to squirrels on Earth. Given how weird and beloved the character is, he’s the perfect character to make a cameo in a Superman film directed by James Gunn!
Green Lantern’s Future In The DC Universe
If Ch’p is truly set to make a cameo in Superman, it seems the Green Lantern Corps may have a bigger presence in the DC Universe than many expected. It’s more likely than not Nathan Fillion’s Green Lantern Guy Gardner returns in a future project, as the Lordtech logo on his costume suggests he’ll play a leading role in a potential Justice League International movie.
Outside of Superman, John Stewart and Hal Jordan are set to be the main players in an upcoming Green Lantern series for HBO. The show is set to revolve around an experienced Hal Jordan taking on John Stewart as a rookie recruit. It wouldn’t be surprising if Guy Gardner made a cameo in the project either, uniting the major Green Lanterns of Earth (ignoring Alan Scott) in one project!
Superman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
