Production on James Gunn’s Superman keeps rolling along and although the first unit has moved to shooting exteriors, it is kind of surprising that paparazzi photos haven’t leaked yet of David Corenswet as the Man of Steel.
Speaking of shooting exteriors, what has surfaced is the first look at Lex Luthor’s Lexcorp logo or rather the Luthor Corp logo. Take a look below at the second and third slides.
“A few days ago I saw that there was a movie set rumored to be Superman at Mentor Headlands Beach,” wrote a Cleveland photographer on Instagram. “I thought today’s extreme wind might create some big waves so I headed there for some photos not even remembering about the movie. I was pleasantly surprised when I got there and realized the set was still there! Some barrels and other props say “Luthor Corp” so I can 100% confirm that this is indeed the next Superman installment.
LuthorCorp sounds interesting. Previously, according to Fandom, “Luthorcorp Incorporated was a multi-billion dollar multinational corporation founded by Lionel Luthor. In the early 21st century, Luthorcorp was adsorbed by Lex Luthor’s company LexCorp.”
What to expect from James Gunn’s Superman movie
Superman is a much-anticipated project, given that Clark Kent has been an integral part of the DC Universe for over 80 years, with various iterations and adaptations across different media. The movie promises to explore the character’s origins and his struggles to balance his dual identities as Clark and Superman while fighting off villains and saving the world.
Superman is being written and directed by James Gunn. The movie boasts a star-studded cast that includes David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Nathan Fillion as the Guy Gardner version of Green Lantern, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and many others.
Superman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
