‘Superman’ Set Photos Reveal Tim Drake Robin Easter Egg And New Daily Planet Logo

Is Robin swinging into Superman?

Superman is chock-full of small details! Set photos from the upcoming DC Universe film reveal a new Daily Planet Logo alongside an Easter egg about Tim Drake, the third Robin.

Ohio is getting turned into Metropolis as Superman starts filming in Cleveland. This has led a number of set photos to find their way onto the internet. While fans have been quick to point out every little Easter egg, perhaps the most exciting is seeing all of the signage for the Daily Planet. This includes the company’s full logo, which has just been spotted in the latest batch of pics.

This logo is a large departure from the simplified serif logo that recently came out of a video. These set photos show off typography much more similar to Christopher Reeve’s Superman films. This is understandable, given the director’s series has had a large influence on this incarnation of the DC Universe. However, it’ll be interesting to see if this is just an Easter egg, or if the influence goes deeper.

Robin’s Very Own Superman Easter Egg

The Daily Planet isn’t the only thing with an Easter egg in the latest batch of set photos. James Gunn has snuck a sneaky reference to Robin in one of Metropolis’ many buildings. Specifically, one of Tim Drake’s aliases in “The Wounded Duck” has been seen as the title of a bar in the city.

Some fans take this as confirmation that Tim Drake is not only in Superman, but old enough to be running his own bar. However, it’s clear from the set photos that the name is just an Easter Egg for hardcore DC fans. Besides, if any Robin was going to open a bar in Metropolis, it’d be Jason, not Tim!

Superman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
