Superman can still be wholesome! A set video reveals an adorable moment with David Corenswet’s Man of Steel at the end of a mission.
Superman has put a large focus on the character’s relationship with civilians, always being sure to help the little man. Multiple set photos have shown David Corenswet saving innocent bystanders (even if he may not always be playing Superman!) Now, a set video shows a group of children swarming the Man of Steel after a job well done.
Superman is a character defined by love. It seems almost every photo and set video fans get from the production shows the care David Corenswet has put into becoming a truly loveable force for good. However, with fellow heroes like Guy Gardner and Hawkgirl seen in the shot, what’s really going on in this video?
The Hidden Meaning In Superman’s Set Video
When analyzing the set video, it’s important to consider every factor. The kids rushing David Corenswet are young. After them, he’s approached by what appears to be a crossing guard or construction worker. At first glance, it seems Superman just saved a group of kids on a bus.
However, notice the heroes walking in front of him. Mister Terrific, Guy Gardner, and Hawkgirl are heavy hitters. Would Superman really need help in just saving a bus? The spacesuit Edi Gathegi’s wearing paints a different picture, suggesting David Corenswet’s Man of Steel may have just stopped a world-threatening disaster in space, perhaps even the one seen in the first official Superman photo released by James Gunn, given it’s the only space-bound destruction confirmed for the film.
Superman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
