Black Panther: Wakanda Forever promotional artwork reveals our first look at Tenoch Huerta as Namor.
Following the death of Chadwick Boseman, it’s been unclear where director Ryan Coogler will take the Black Panther franchise. Many speculate Shuri will assume the Black Panther mantle, but many plot details have remained a secret. However, one of the worst-kept secrets is that Wakanda Forever will finally introduce Namor, played by Tenoch Huerta.
There’s a good chance Marvel Studios will finally confirm Namor’s appearance in Wakanda Forever at San Diego Comic-Con later this month, but as usual, promotional art has given us our first look at the character before the first trailer. It’s rumored that Namor would serve as the villain of the sequel.
Namor Revealed!
A blurry image of Tenoch Huerta as Namor surfaced back in May, and now a higher resolution version has been shared on social media. We also get to see another look Namor will sport in the film. Promo art of the Namor villain Attuma along with Shuri and Okoye, also surfaced online. You can see the promotional artwork of Namor and the other characters from the upcoming film below.
Here is the synopsis for the first Black Panther film:
After the death of his father, the king of Wakanda, young T’Challa returns home to the isolated high-tech African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king – and Black Panther – is tested when he’s drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, he must release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.
Directed by Ryan Coogler, the film stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis.
