Could Marvel be poaching the newest Star Wars actress? Amy Tsang reveals her desire to join the Spider-Verse franchise following The Acolyte.
Marvel and Star Wars have always been franchises separated by a thin wall. Many actors, such as Harrison Ford, have crossed between the worlds of spandex and space battles. Another recent example is Logan actress Dafne Keen, who recently portrayed the beloved Jecki Long in The Acolyte.
However, Dafne Keen isn’t the only actress on The Acolyte who wants a piece of the Marvel pie. Amy Tsang, who portrayed the witch Ensign Rane in Star Wars‘ newest Disney Plus outing, revealed her desire to join the MCU. Specifically, she’d love to swing into the animated Spider-Verse franchise.
“The Spider-Verse. The upcoming Spider-Verse. I would die. I would die to work with Nic Cage.”
Amy Tsang’s Potential Spider-Verse Future
Given Amy Tsang just finished her time on The Acolyte, and obviously hasn’t been cast by Marvel yet, it may seem impossible for her to join the Spider-Verse given the film is already in production. However, given the sequel has been indefinitely delayed, there may still be time for her to join the project.
Of course, Spider-Verse star Nicolas Cage is also reprising his role as Spider-Man Noir for a new Amazon Prime Series. Given Tsang’s desire to work with Cage, Spider-Man Noir would likely be the perfect Spider-Verse project for the actress.
Silk is another character to come to mind, especially given Sony’s increased focus on her in Spider-Verse related properties. However, given the breadth of possibilities in Marvel’s multiverse, it’s impossible to nail down any specific Spider-Verse character Amy Tsang could play if she does get cast.
The Acolyte is now streaming on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Star Wars franchise and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
