A new trailer for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman will premiere at this year’s DC FanDome.
Last year, DC decided to go for its own virtual fan event in lieu of showing up at Comic-Con. Titled DC FanDome, the event took place in late August and was an entire day of back-to-back DC reveals from all their mediums, including movies, television, and video games. It was there where we got our first look at Robert Pattinson’s The Batman, Rocksteady’s The Suicide Squad game, and James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad. Now, the free virtual fan event is set to return later this Fall, and it’s bringing with it a new look at The Caped Crusader’s solo film.
DC FanDome will return on Saturday, October 16th at 1 PM EST. During the event, fans will be treated to a new look at Robert Pattinson and Matt Reeves’ The Batman, which is currently scheduled to debut this upcoming March. The event, which will be streamed for free on the likes of YouTube and Twitch, will feature tons of first new looks, updates, and features focusing on some of DC’s most anticipated properties. In addition to the regular FanDome event, a separate, kid-friendly event will also be held on the same day, titled DC Kids FanDome.
DC FanDome has revealed its full lineup, which will include first and behind-the-scenes looks at Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Black Adam, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Gotham Knights, The Flash, and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

A new poster featuring some of DC’s best and brightest has also been released to celebrate the upcoming fan event.
The poster is absolutely beautiful, celebrating all of DC’s upcoming heroes. One of the highlights on the poster includes Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman getting some solid real estate, sitting right beside DC Extended Universe heavyweights Aquaman and Peacemaker.
The plot of The Batman is being kept under lock and key, but we know the film will follow Robert Pattinson as a younger version of Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his second year as the Dark Knight of Gotham City. The film will also show off the hero using his skills as a detective more than what we’ve seen before in previous versions of the hero. It is also expected to be the first installment in a new trilogy of films with Pattinson.
Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the titular hero, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
The Batman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on March 4, 2022. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the upcoming DC film, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more video content.
