This past weekend, Commissioner Gordon actor Jeffrey Wright revealed that he has begun work on The Batman, which means that he could potentially be seen appearing in this very scene as all signs point to it being a crime scene. It has been rumored that Robert Pattinson’s The Batman will take cues from Batman: The Animated Series and will be set in the ’90s. These set photos from the latest Robert Pattinson movie do corroborate with those rumors as the vehicles seen above look as if they we’re ripped right out of the late ’80s/early ’90s with their box-y looks. But then again, it could just be an aesthetic choice taken on by director Matt Reeves. Regardless, we’re sure more details on Robert Pattinson’s The Batman will pop up as production continues over the next few weeks.

Full plot details for The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.
Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, Jayme Lawson as Bella, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Peter Sarsgaard. Recently, Colin Farrell was reportedly in talks to play the Penguin.
The Batman hits theaters on June 25, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the Robert Pattinson movie.
