The DC Universe is gearing up for production! The Batman sequel and Man of Tomorrow have both landed key filming dates for later this year.
News has been pretty quiet on the DC Universe front. Only three projects are confirmed this year: Lanterns, Supergirl, and Clayface. None of those are actively promoting themselves, however, with only small teasers used to sustain fans until closer to release. As such, fans have their eyes set on next year’s massive tentpoles: Man of Tomorrow and the long-awaited sequel to The Batman.
But as we wrap up the first quarter of the new year, there’s still very little word on either production. This has left some fans worried, especially as The Batman sequel has been delayed multiple times. Yet with casting on Man of Tomorrow already picking up, it seems the DC Universe crew has started to lock shooting dates for both productions.
When Does The Batman Sequel Start Filming?
A new report from Page Six has revealed the shooting dates for the DC Universe’s most anticipated upcoming projects. The Batman sequel is reportedly eyeing a May 29th start date in London, which is where the original film was shot. While it’s still some ways to go, it lines up with reports that some key figures have yet to be cast.
Though coming out ahead of The Batman is Man of Tomorrow. The highly-anticipated pseudo-sequel is reportedly set to begin filming in Atlanta next month, on April 17th. This likely means any last minute casting announcements will be made soon. And, more importantly, set photos will confirm which members of the DC Universe’s large cast will return for the project.
Man of Tomorrow flies into theaters July 9th, 2027. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe!
