The Boys Season 5 is officially underway! Showrunner Eric Kripke gave fans their first behind-the-scenes look at the series’ final outing.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting any news on the production of The Boys Season 5. The series has been one of the most acclaimed and controversial of the superhero genre. And with a rocky penultimate season and a bevy of spin-offs already in the works, fans have been worried about Eric Kripke’s ability to stick the landing with its final season.
Luckily, it seems there’s nothing but smiles on the set of season 5. Eric Kripke revealed a behind-the-scenes photo from the filming of the show’s premiere featuring Antony Starr, Chace Crawford, and Nathan Mitchell as Homelander, The Deep, and Black Noir respectively. While a pitiful showing for The Seven when compared to the start of The Boys, it does show how the stakes are down to the wire heading into the endgame.
The Title Of The Boys Season 5 Premiere
Filming on season 5 was officially confirmed with a post from showrunner Eric Kripke, showing the title page of the premiere’s script. This, in turn, continued the tradition of revealing the title of the first episode ahead of production. Heading into the show’s final season, it seems Episode 1 will officially be titled “Fifteen Inches of Sheer Dynamite,” proving that even as politics changes, the humor of The Boys never does.
Given the show is only just now filming its premiere at the end of November, it’s likely that The Boys season 5 won’t premiere until sometime in 2026. While this may seem like a lifetime, it certainly gives the cast and crew plenty of time to make sure that the final season of such a controversial show manages to appeal to longtime fans while still making the impact it hopes to
