‘The Boys’: Karl Urban & Crew Tease Season 2 In Awesome Photo

Karl Urban and the rest of The Boys crew have teased the second season of the hit Amazon series in an awesome photo.

Television seems to be radically changing the way it approaches superheroes by embracing more mature stories that celebrate the comic book medium. While the Arrowverse has been the dominant force on the small screen, with shows like Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl, fans have eagerly hoping to see more gory, mature fare for years. Their hopes were answered last year in the form of the moody, auteur-driven Watchmen and the bombastic, loud, and violent The Boys, both of which proved to be fantastic additions to the superhero pantheon. With a second season of The Boys on the way, Karl Urban and the rest of the crew have taken to Twitter to share an awesome photo to tease what’s next for the Amazon series.

The main The Boys Twitter account shared an image of Karl Urban and the rest of the crew flipping off viewers with a perfectly playful caption.

In the image, Karl Urban and the crew are ostensibly flipping off “The Seven”, who are seen right behind them. “The Seven” are corporately engineered superheroes. The first season of The Boys was met with critical acclaim and proved to be a solid pull for Amazon, which  isalready thinking about the future of the series. In a landscape that was filled with goofy superheroes, The Boys genuinely managed to bring some ferocity back into the genre.

Here is the official synopsis for the first season:

THE BOYS is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It’s the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about “The Seven,” and their formidable Vought backing.

The Boys stars Karl Urban Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Kapon, Karen Fukuhara, and Nathan Mitchell. So far, the series has added Goran Visnjic and Claudia Doumit for season two.

The Boys season one is now available on Amazon Prime Video. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news surrounding the Karl Urban superhero series and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
