The Fantastic Four: First Steps almost featured some classic suits! New BTS photos from the production give fans fresh looks at some deleted scenes.
Despite the reels from the first showings of The Fantastic Four: First Steps still being warm, fans are already in an uproar over deleted scenes from the film. For once, understandable so, as so many of the shots used in the promotion of the film never found their way onto the silver screen. This has left audiences scrubbing BTS photos on social media for any sign of these pieces of lost media.
The internet actually caught a bite in the latest batch of BTS photos posted by Pedro Pascal. The slideshow contains over a dozen pictures from the production of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. While fans speculate there may be a number of deleted scenes teased here, perhaps the most obvious is a sequence showcasing the team’s classic suits in the second-to-last slide.

The Fantastic Four’s Classic Suits
It’s unclear where the classic suits seen in these BTS photos would fit in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Flashbacks in the final film showed the team in their knitted jumpsuits as seen in the modern day. It’s possible that the deleted scenes featuring these variants of the costume would have taken place before their days of crime fighting, potentially as prototype space suits in their own right.
Given the team is likely to get updated suits the next time they appear, it’s not likely fans will get to see the classic suits in these BTS photos on the silver screen anytime soon. While the idea of a director’s cut of The Fantastic Four: First Steps has been shut down by director Matt Shakman, hopefully the blu-ray or DVD will included the deleted scenes in some form or fashion.
