The Fantastic Four: First Steps gets totally retro! Marvel Studios has finally revealed the first official look at the team’s classic comic suits.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps was a true love letter to the early era of comic books. Fans could practically smell the influence that Jack Kirby had on the project (not counting the Easter egg and memorials for the artist littered throughout the film). However, the one issue that some fans had were that the team never donned their classic suits.
While Marvel continues to play it stingy with the deleted scenes from The Fantastic Four: First Steps, they did give fans a small treat in the form of a number of newspaper clippings. One of which gives fans their first official look at the team’s classic suits, as first scene in a social media post by Pedro Pascal. It’s hard to make out, but they certainly look great!

The Fantastic Four’s Scrapped Classic Suits
It’s important to note that, technically, these classic suits weren’t entirely cut from The Fantastic Four: First Steps. They can briefly be seen during the flashback montage when the group is taking on Giganto. However, given the film is not yet released on digital, this is the best official look fans have at what the team looks like in their more iconic attire.
With the team set to return next year, it’ll be interesting to see if these classic suits make their return outside of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. While fans have enjoyed the white trim, there have been calls for the team to get a more modernized look. And given they’ll be merging with the Sacred Timeline relatively soon, that look may be right around the corner.
