"The scars make us who we are."

Ezra Miller Sasha Calle The Flash Supergirl

The Flash is set to unite generations with the return of Michael Keaton as Batman and new stars like Sasha Calle as Supergirl when the film releases his June. As time runs out before release, a new promotional banner and TV spot have been released, assembling the world’s finest heroes.

The concept of two Batman actors being in one film was once just a dream in the minds of readers. Yet in just over a month, fans will be treated to Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck sharing the screen as the Caped Crusader alongside Sasha Calle’s Supergirl in The Flash. Even the most prophetic of fans likely couldn’t predict this from Ezra Miller’s first appearance in Batman v. Superman. To celebrate this crowning achievement, a new banner for the film has been released highlighting the film’s heroes:

A new TV spot for The Flash serves to show that the film isn’t just about spectacle, with Ben Affleck’s Batman reminding Barry of the scars defining who someone is before leading into the action-packed set pieces fans have grown to love about the trailers. While not much new is shown, it’s always a pleasure to see Sasha Calle in action as Supergirl and Michael Keaton moving in ways no man his age should.

The Flash’s DC Universe future

Warner Bros. Discovery already has a script for a potential sequel to The Flash, written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, the man behind the two Aquaman movies starring Jason Momoa. However, James Gunn and Peter Safran did not discuss the Flash sequel during their DC Universe presentation.

Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson, The Flash is inspired by the Flashpoint comic book storyline, which followed Barry Allen as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint radically altered the status of the DC Comics universe and led to the launch of the New 52 titles.

In addition to Ezra Miller, The Flash also features Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck as two separate versions of Batman, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Antje Traue as Faora-Ul and Sasha Calle as Supergirl. Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Rudy Mancuso and Luke Brandon Field are also on board in undisclosed roles.
