Fans wondering how Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will make his anticipated disappearance on The Flash might finally have an answer.
Since the Pilot episode of The CW’s first Arrowverse spin-off The Flash debuted in 2014, fans have known that the future holds an unfortunate fate for young Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin. In the series’ first episode, it was revealed that Barry Allen’s superhero alter ego The Flash would disappear in 2049 without a trace. A fan of the series recently took to Reddit to theorize how the disappearance of Grant Gustin’s beloved character might occur.
According to the fan theory, the key to Barry Allen’s disappearance isn’t the hero himself. Instead, the major player in the disappearance of the hero is none other than his daughter Nora West-Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy). Check out the intriguing fan theory below to see how the highly-anticipated event could unfold on The CW’s The Flash.
The Flash has turned the Arrowverse on its head quite a few times over the years thanks to Barry Allen’s many decisions to go back in time and change reality. The fabric of the Arrowverse was most recently wrinkled in last year’s Elseworlds crossover event, which featured Grant Gustin’s Scarlet Speedster teaming up with Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and Green Arrow (Stephen Amell). Next year, the heroes will have to team up once more to battle a massive threat in another crossover event based on the iconic comic book storyline Crisis on Infinite Earths.
Until then, fans will be able to enjoy the heroes on their own solo series that recently returned after their mid-season finale, which was the Elseworlds event mentioned above. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding The Flash as soon as more information becomes available. Do you think that this fan theory makes sense?
