Grant Gustin revealed he’d love to add the gold boots to the Scarlet Speedster’s costume on The Flash.
Fans have seen Barry Allen’s costume go through a number of different changes over the course of The Flash‘s six seasons so far. And if Grant Gustin’s hopes about continuing to play the hero for further future seasons come true, it’s likely we’ll see even further changes and developments to the suit. But the star himself is keen to see the gold boots make their debut on The CW series in the near future.
When speaking to Entertainment Tonight about the future of the show going forward, the star explained that the costume has evolved enough that the gold boots would fit in perfectly. He explained that they’re the only part of the suit missing from Barry’s complete look. The suit’s already got plenty of gold detailing throughout, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see the gold boots make their live-action debut.
“Gold boots. We have the lightning at the top of the red boots — that is kind of like the wing/lightning at the top — but that’s really the only thing we’re missing for it to be, pretty much, the complete comic book look. The suit that we have now essentially, but with boots to match the belt and then I feel like we’re there.”
